A note about Event Sponsorship-

We appreciate your support of our events. At Soul Circle, our goal is to provide smaller opportunities for like-minded individuals to network and create connections to each other that last beyond the time we spend at a location. Keeping our event attendance intentionally limited in numbers is a choice, and maintaining reasonable ticket prices is a priority for us too. As a result, we often come out of pocket to pay the balance between the costs of providing the experience and the amount generated from ticket sales. As a sponsor, you are helping to bridge the gap and partnering with us to create these life changing adventures for those who attend.

As you will see in the tentative schedule, there is lots to do at this event. You can find more details in the Event Information Section below.


Please also note that all of the presentations, activities, and investigations of this event are only open to ticket holders. This ensures that the folks who paid to attend are able to network with each other and with our special guests. 


This event will happen come rain, snow, fog, hail, or otherwise less than ideal weather conditions… but let’s all put sunny sun vibes into the universe!

We always do our best to offer one night in which there are no scheduled investigations for Full Event Ticket Holders so that everyone can check out the various saloons in town. For this event, Thursday night is that night. We will offer a Thursday night registration and mix and mingle Thursday this year. Once you have checked in, the remainder of the night will be spent getting to know each other and mingling at The Washoe Club or adventuring on your own 😊. You are free to stay as long as you’d like to take part in the activities and informal investigations of the upper floors of the Washoe, but if you prefer a night of rest to a night of mayhem… this is your night to turn in early. 


There will be a second registration option time on Friday afternoon for those who can't make it to town Thursday night. You will also have time to purchase merchandise from our special guests, who will have 8x10’s; tshirts; posters; books; and other items for you to buy. There will be tables for some other vendors as well as our sponsors who we hope you will support! Friday will be a great day for networking and making any purchases you want from the talented folks who will be there. 


On Saturday, we will focus on opening our minds and enjoying some time with our speakers. 


We will be investigating two or three locations each night, and two or three teams will rotate between them. You can expect to be in a group of about 10-15 people, and you will rotate between the locations after spending time in each one. You will have a window of time in the schedule to pass between locations. If you have equipment, you are welcome to bring it but there isn’t a lot of time to set up and take down more complex equipment set-ups. This event lends itself better to simple equipment that you can easily pack up and transition to the next location with. There will be talented investigators at each location to help facilitate experiments and sessions. You will have an opportunity to investigate with each of the special guests at the event. 


You can opt out of any location if you are tired or need a break. The Washoe Club is a great spot to rest and recover! Just make sure to monitor your ability to rejoin your group if you choose to drink while taking a break from the investigation rotations. For some folks, midnight to 2am is way past bedtime and we often see group sizes dwindle towards the end of the rotations… and that’s alright! 

 

This event, and all other Soul Circle Paranormal events, is a chance to network with other likeminded people and to form connections to each other that last well beyond the time we will spend in Virginia City. That is, after all, what these events are about for us. You will always find that we keep the groups smaller than traditional events, because this is not about making money. It’s about making memories, and we can’t wait to make some with you. Please keep in mind that though we strive to keep our investigation group sizes smaller than you might find at other events… some of our locations are also much less sprawling due to the historic nature of the buildings in Virginia City. 10-15 people in a single room can still feel like a lot when you’re investigating! For that reason, we recommend seeing this (and any other event investigation) as an opportunity to engage with the special guests and investigate with them, check out their techniques and that of the others in your group, and share insight about equipment and methods… but not to expect the same conditions you might have on a private investigation where you can control the variables in the room more efficiently. We still get evidence and personal experiences in event investigations, but we also want to help manage expectations!


Also… THERE ARE STAIRS! Virginia City is perched on the side of the mountain, and the buildings have steep stairs and no elevators. Everything in town is walkable if you don’t mind the inclines, but many choose to drive and take part in the great search for ideal parking. Our investigation locations all have steps, and you will need to be able to navigate them to access the investigations. Don’t worry, nobody will hear you gasping for breath because my huffing and puffing will drown yours out. (Side note… if Shane Pittman asks you to carry him up a hill you are not obligated to say yes.)


Thursday/Friday Event Registration: 

You will receive a lanyard and event badge at registration, and there will be a QR code available for you to access the virtual program (we are trying to reduce the amount of paper waste by going digital). If you are a Washoe Club Member already, please bring your card with you to registration. If you are not yet a member, you will receive a member card as part of your registration.

A brand new extra special Soul Circle Event in Utah!

Asylum 49 is September 25th-27th, 2026

Welcome to Asylum 49!


We will cap attendance at this event to 50 ticket holders, so get yours soon!


Our special guests are Richard Estep, Shane Pittman, Aaron Sagers, and Sarah Lemos!


This location is a 98,000 sq ft former hospital. Half is now a mini mall on what used to be the nursing home side, and the other half is the haunted house. The middle is known as "the green mile" with the old operating rooms and a museum. 

  

This event will feature a gallery reading with Sarah Lemos, two nights of investigation of Asylum 49 in Tooele Utah, and includes VIP admission to the haunted house experience as well. You can find more details in the Event Information Section below when we are ready to share more.


Please also note that all of the presentations, activities, and investigations of this event are only open to ticket holders. This ensures that the folks who paid to attend are able to network with each other and with our special guests. 


There is not an "official" event hotel, so you are free to stay at whatever accommodations work best for you near Asylum 49. All event activities will occur onsite at the hospital.

Frequently Asked Questions For All Events

Tickets are non-refundable, unless the entire event is cancelled. There will not be refunds due to changes in celebrity guests, locations, or weather. However, if you need to transfer your ticket to someone else you are welcome to make those arrangements and let the event coordinator know. 


All locations and celebrity guests are subject to change. We do our best to minimize this risk, but it can occur that a celebrity guest has to cancel their participation in the event due to scheduling conflicts related to filming (for example).  If a celebrity guest has to withdraw from the event, we will post an announcement immediately.  You will have an opportunity to investigate all the event locations, and to spend time with the special guests in either investigations or other activities. 


You will receive your event access pass at registration. Nothing will come in the mail, but you will receive an email confirming your purchase. 


Events are limited to ages 18 and over, or 17 if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. If you need an exception to this policy, please contact the event coordinator to discuss your specific situation. 


For the Mingle & Mayhem, feel free to bring items for celebrity guests to sign, but please limit it to 1 item per person. Some celebrity guests may charge a small fee to autograph items not purchased from them. There will be autographs available for you to purchase if you don’t bring your own item. Photos will also be permitted. 


The events typically are limited to a small number of guests. The size of the investigation groups will vary, but will be around 15 people or less per group. Each group will have an opportunity to investigate or interact with the celebrity guests. You will be assigned to a group by the event coordinator. 


Often our locations are historic and are not easily accessible. They may require the ability to climb stairs. This is beyond our control and is due to the time period in which the locations were constructed. You will be required to sign a liability waiver at registration. 


For the investigation, please bring your own equipment. The event is not responsible for any equipment that is lost, damaged, or stolen… so please exercise caution when setting up your equipment if you intend to leave it unattended. 


You may be photographed or filmed at this event, and by purchasing your ticket you are agreeing to release any images or footage at the discretion of the event coordinator. 


Sometimes at the events there are opportunities to grab a drink and hang out with other folks at the event. However, for the investigations anyone under the influence of alcohol will not be permitted to enter the investigation locations. 


Unless otherwise noted in the event details, transportation and lodging ARE NOT included in the ticket price. You are responsible for making your own flight, rental car, and hotel arrangements.
